I'm what you call a Jack of All Trades. This means I'm good at a LOT of things, but not great at any one particular thing. However, most of those things that I'm good at are in the computer world. So I guess you could say I'm a computer geek.

I've held lots of different jobs, from C/C++ programming to Linux and Windows system administration to (now) working with mining companies. But everything has been in the computer world, it's just been a different area each time.

As I said, my current job is with mining companies. I work for Modular Mining Systems as a Project Engineer and my basic job is to install and support the systems that Modular makes. Those systems allow mines to more easily manage their day to day operations and keep the mine running as efficiently as possible.

Most of the mines that I'll be working with (I just started on March 6th) are open pit mines, but there will be some underground ones too. Pretty much though, the job should be a lot of fun and VERY different than anything I've done before. Besides, what guy would turn down an opportunity to work with big trucks? It's the best playground I could imagine!
